Room & board by campus

SOCAPA offers housing at all listed campuses. Lounge space, residence hall access, and dining arrangements vary by location.

New York City, Manhattan residence life

New York City, Manhattan

  • $995/week double or triple occupancy
  • $1,495/week single room

Students at our Manhattan campus are responsible for purchasing their own meals. Greenwich Village offers a wide mix of delis, cafes, and restaurants, and counselors help students get oriented to nearby options during the first days of each session.

Los Angeles, California residence life

Los Angeles, California

  • $975/week double or triple occupancy
  • $1,475/week single room

The Los Angeles meal plan includes a welcome dinner plus three cafeteria meals a day Monday through Friday. On weekends, students are typically responsible for three meals depending on the off-campus excursion schedule.

Burlington, Vermont residence life

Burlington, Vermont

  • $775/week double or triple occupancy
  • $1,275/week single room

Vermont room and board includes a welcome dinner plus three cafeteria meals a day Monday through Friday. Weekend meal responsibility depends on the excursion schedule, but is typically lunch and dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday.

Airport Transfer Fees

SOCAPA staff greet students at baggage claim, travel back to campus with them, and assist with check-in for departures. Standard one-way transfer fees are listed below.

Unaccompanied Minors

Not available at NYC campuses

Unaccompanied Minor service is a one-way, $150 fee purchased through your airline for children flying alone. Most airlines do not require this service for children 14 and up, and SOCAPA strongly encourages students over 14 not to fly as unaccompanied minors.

If you do choose this service, SOCAPA must also be notified. In addition to the airline fee, there is a $100 SOCAPA fee per direction for unaccompanied minor service at supported campuses.

No meals included. Day students do not participate in evening extracurriculars in New York City.

Linens

At New York City and Los Angeles campuses, students need to bring their own Twin XL sheets, pillowcase, and towel. Los Angeles provides a blanket and pillow at no charge. In New York City, a pillow and blanket rental is available for $45/session. Vermont includes a complete linen set at no additional cost.

Damage Deposit

All accounts must have a credit card on file. Incidental charges such as lost keys, equipment or property damage, or extra cleaning fees are charged after the program. If the charge is greater than $200, the billing contact is contacted before the charge is made.

Camera Rental

Photography students may bring their own SLR or DSLR camera or rent one through SOCAPA. 35mm SLR cameras rent for $95 per session, older DSLR models rent for $125 per session, and newer DSLR models rent for $295 per session.
