Key Largo Campus - Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo, Florida
SOCAPA's Summer Programs in Florida are hosted at the exquisite Ocean Reef Club, located on the northern tip of Key Largo, the first in the string of pearls that make up the Florida Keys. Surrounded on three sides by water and the only living coral reef in American waters, SOCAPA Ocean Reef Club is nothing short of paradise. Students stay in the modern ORC Residence Hall, just a short walk to the marina and Buccaneer Island where they can enjoy an evening swim in the pools, watersports on the lagoon, beach volleyball, cookouts and a weekly beach bonfire. Classes are held in the ORC's world-class meeting facilities overlooking the marina. The final student showcase is held at the club's Cultural Center, which boasts a luxurious three-hundred seat proscenium theater. Parents and families are invited to come and make a weekend of the final student showcase, with discounted room rates offered at the Inn and a wrap party beach dinner organized after the show.

Miami Excursion:
SOCAPA Key Largo is just under an hour from Miami International Airport. On the first Saturday of the program, we take all the students to Miami's famed South Beach to take in the carnival-like atmosphere of the beach, Ocean Drive, and do a little shopping on Lincoln Road. That night, we all go out for a nice dinner and catch a show in the city. On Sunday, students have the opportunity to go snorkeling on the reef or compete in the home-made cardboard box boat regatta on the lagoon.
Housing and Meals:
The ORC residence hall contains four bedroom apartment-style suites. Each suite is shared by four students and has a common living area, a kitchenette and two private bathrooms. All rooms are singles and have a bed, desk, television and wardrobe. Amenities include rooms that are fully wired for laptops (must have laptop with ethernet jack and cable) and central air conditioning. There is also a coin-operated laundry facility in the building. A short walk from the dorms is the Reef Rec Room which has ping-pong and pool tables, Xbox and Wii gaming consoles, a projector for movie nights and a teen lounge area for socializing and playing board games.
Meals will be catered by ORC's fine staff of chefs and servers at various locations around the club including a few beach barbecues. Students are responsible for buying their own lunch on our Saturday excursion to Miami.
Activities:
In addition to the weekend trip to Miami, students will have the opportunity to participate in the following activities: black-light volleyball, karaoke night, mini-golf, cardboard boat regatta, snorkeling, beach soccer, talent shows, free swims, movie night, beach bonfires and our end-of-session wrap party.
